Dear Residents, Family and Friends:
We wanted to provide you an update of what is going on in our community related to COVID-19. In our last update, we outlined what we were doing in response to the surge in COVID-19 cases in Arizona.
We wanted to let you know that we recently learned that one of our employees has tested positive for COVID-19. The employee was not showing symptoms while working in the facility and wore all appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and practiced appropriate social distancing and hand hygiene while working. The employee has not been in the building since July 17th and will remain quarantine for the period recommended by local health department and CDC guidance.
Given the factors outlined above, the CDC would view the risk of viral exposure to our residents from this employee low, however, we continue to monitor other staff and all residents’ health status for any changes.
We would ask for your assistance in encouraging residents to eliminate or limit any trips outside of the community’s campus, to wear a mask when outside of their rooms, practice good social distancing and perform more frequent hand hygiene. If a resident does not have a mask, one can be provided at the front desk, and hand sanitizer is available throughout the building.
As always, we will notify residents’ primary physicians and designated family members of any changes in their loved one’s condition, whether potentially related to COVID-19 or not.
We will continue to keep you updated as any changes at the facility occur. Please reach out with questions, concerns, or requests for assistance.
We truly appreciate your continued support during these challenging times in our state and country.
